Meet Major Raghunath Ahlawat, 3 Para (Special Forces).

A fourth-generation Army officer from New Delhi.

The son of Brigadier D.S. Ahlawat (Retd.), he chose the olive green over a career in law.

Commissioned into the Parachute Regiment in 2012.

Earned the coveted Maroon Beret and Balidan Badge after one of the toughest military selections.

Served with the elite 3 Para (Special Forces).

A combat sea diver, instructor at the Special Forces Training School, and a respected leader.

Known to his comrades as "Raghu."

On 5 May 2022, he led a reconnaissance team during a counter-infiltration mission in the Uri sector.

True to the Special Forces ethos, he led from the front.

While navigating treacherous mountain terrain in adverse weather, he slipped into a deep ravine.

Despite every effort to save him, he succumbed to his injuries.

He was just 34 years old.

His final act reflected the spirit of a Special Forces officer—placing the mission and his men before himself.

Major Raghunath Ahlawat was laid to rest with full military honours.

He is survived by his parents and his wife, Squadron Leader Vinny Malik of the Indian Air Force.

His courage, leadership, and sacrifice continue to inspire generations of soldiers.

Some heroes are remembered not only for how they fought, but for how they led.

A significant step towards lasting peace and stability in #Manipur was achieved with the voluntary surrender of 46 cadres of the proscribed Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) before the Hon’ble #ChiefMinister Shri Y Khemchand Singh in the presence of #GOC, #SpearCorps, #DGP, #Manipur, #IGAR South, GOC #RedShieldDivision and DIG, #CRPF at Mantripukhri Garrison, #Imphal East.

This significant outcome happened after months of sustained and patient outreach by the #IndianArmy and #AssamRifles formations of #SpearCorps, under the aegis of #EasternCommand, assisted by #ManipurPolice and Central Security Agencies. Relentless efforts of the #AssamRifles ensured that channels of communication remained open, motivating the cadres to renounce militancy and choose the path of peace and reintegration. The surrendered cadres have resolved to abjure violence and return to civilian life.

The #IndianArmy remains steadfast in its commitment to fostering peace, stability and lasting normalcy in #Manipur.

यह महत्वपूर्ण सफलता #पूर्��ी_कमान के तत्वावधान में #SpearCorps की #भारतीय_सेना और #असम_राइफल्स की इकाइयों द्वारा कई महीनों तक लगातार किए गए धैर्यपूर्ण संवाद और जनसंपर्क प्रयासों का परिणाम है। इन प्रयासों में #ManipurPolice और केंद्रीय सुरक्षा एजेंसियों का भी महत्वपूर्ण सहयोग रहा। #असम_राइफल्स ने लगातार संवाद बनाए रखा, जिससे कैडर हिंसा का रास्ता छोड़कर शांति और मुख्यधारा में लौटने के लिए प्रेरित हुए।आत्मसमर्पण करने वाले सभी कैडरों ने हिंसा का त्याग कर सामान्य नागरिक जीवन अपनाने का संकल्प लिया है।

Summer Camp 2026: Empowering Youth, Building the Nation

#GajrajCorps conducted #SummerCamp2026 under theme “Yuva Sashaktikaran se Saksham Nagrik”, aimed at inspiring & empowering youth to become responsible citizens & active contributors towards vision of #ViksitBharat@2047.

Guided by #WholeOfSocietyApproach, camp brought together 122 participants from military families, civil communities & adopted villages for a unique learning experience. The programme provided them exposure to government institutions, citizen-centric services, welfare initiatives, military interactions, life-skills training, adventure activities & environmental stewardship.

Visits to nation-building institutions & organisations—included District Administration, Civil Hospitals, Banks, Post Offices, Police Station, Airport, #NameriNationalPark, local industries which offered valuable lessons in sustainability, entrepreneurship, community participation & nation-building.

Through such initiatives, #GajrajCorps continues to nurture informed, confident & responsible young citizens committed to building a stronger & more prosperous #ViksitBharat@2047.

समर कैंप 2026: युवा सशक्तिकरण, मजबूत भारत

#GajrajCorps ने #SummerCamp2026 का आयोजन “युवा सशक्तिकरण से सक्षम नागरिक” विषय पर किया। इसका उद्देश्य युवाओं को प्रेरित ��रना और उन्हें जिम्मेदार नागरिक बनाना था, ताकि वे #ViksitBharat@2047 के सपने को पूरा करने में अपना योगदान दे सकें।

इस कैंप में सेना के परिवारों, आम नागरिकों और गोद लिए गए गांवों के 122 युवाओं ने भाग लिया। उन्हें सरकारी कार्यालयों, जनसेवा संस्थानों, कल्याणकारी योजनाओं, सेना के कामकाज, जीवन कौशल, साहसिक गतिविधियों और पर्यावरण संरक्षण के बारे में जानकारी दी गई।

प्रतिभागियों ने जिला प्रशासन, सरकारी अस्पताल, बैंक, डाकघर, पुलिस स्टेशन, हवाई अड्डा, #NameriNationalPark और स्थानीय उद्योगों का दौरा किया। इन यात्���ाओं से उन्हें पर्यावरण संरक्षण, स्वरोजगार, समाज की भागीदारी और राष्ट्र निर्माण के बारे में सीखने का अवसर मिला।

ऐसे कार्यक्रमों के माध्यम से #GajrajCorps जागरूक, आत्मविश्वासी और जिम्मेदार युवाओं को तैयार कर रहा है, जो एक मजबूत और समृद्ध #ViksitBharat के निर्माण में अपनी महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाएंगे।

NSG Mt Everest Expedition 2026 Flagged Off.

The Director General, National Security Guard (NSG) today flagged off the NSG Mt Everest Expedition 2026, marking a significant step in showcasing the force’s endurance, resilience, and spirit of excellence.

The expedition is being undertaken by a team comprising 03 Officers, 01 Assistant Commander, and 12 Rangers.
The contingent will attempt to summit Mount Everest (8,849 metres), the highest peak in the world.

The expedition reflects NSG’s commitment to pushing the limits of physical and mental endurance, while reinforcing the ethos of “Sarvatra Sarvottam Suraksha” and the pursuit of excellence in all domains.

Pre Monsoon Exercise JALRAHAT was successfully conducted by Red Horns Division of #GajrajCorps at IIT Guwahati, Assam. The exercise featured various agencies practicing coordinated logistics, rapid response & effective disaster management strategies in a simulated Flood scenario. This event highlighted the collaborative efforts of #IndianArmy, civil administration, #NDRF, #SDRF & #SSB in addressing natural disasters in Assam.

Lt Gen Neeraj Shukla, GOC #GajrajCorps interacted & appreciated commitment of all individuals involved in exercise. Addressing students, GOC emphasised a Whole-of-Society approach to disaster management, highlighting mantra of 4 Ps – Predict, Prepare, Protect & Provide, & importance of #JanBhagidari in effective disaster response.He also addressed over 900 NCC cadets, exhorting them to be responsible leaders & active contributors to national development.

Pre-Monsoon Exercise JALRAHAT का सफल आयोजन Red Horns Division द्वारा #GajrajCorps के तहत IIT Guwahati, Assam में किया गया। इस अभ्यास में कई एजेंसियों ने मिलकर समन्वित लॉजिस्टिक्स, त्वरित प्रतिक्रिया और प्रभावी आपदा प्रबंधन का अभ्यास किया, जिसमें बाढ़ जैसी स्थिति का सिमुलेशन किया गया। इसने #IndianArmy, civil administration, #NDRF, #SDRF और #SSB के बीच प्राकृतिक आपदाओं से निपटने के लिए बेहतर समन्वय और सहयोग को दर्शाया।

Lt Gen Neeraj Shukla, GOC #GajrajCorps ने प्रतिभागियों से बातचीत की और सभी क�� समर्पण की सराहना की। छात्रों को संबोधित करते हुए GOC ने आपदा प्रबंधन के लिए Whole-of-Society approach पर जोर दिया और 4 Ps – Predict, Prepare, Protect & Provide के मंत्र को बताया। साथ ही प्रभावी आपदा प्रबंधन में #JanBhagidari के महत्व को रेखांकित किया। उन्होंने 900 NCC कैडेट्स को भी संबोधित किया और उन्हें जिम्मेदार नेता बनने तथा राष्ट्र निर्माण में सक्रिय योगदान देने के लिए प्रेरित किया।

The GOC also interacted with Capt (IN) Girish Kumar (Retd), Zila Sainik Welfare Officer, Dhubri, who has revitalised veteran support in Lower Assam, esteemed veterans & civil dignitaries.
