@Betsycashmoney@Bearthafuckdown Never said SoFi was, Staples was built in the 2000s, one of many Lakers championships after leaving a ghetto Inglewood forum
@Betsycashmoney@Bearthafuckdown Are you serious? Back in the 2010s, Inglewood was still considered a ghetto neighborhood, and the average home price was under $500,000.
There’s a good reason the Lakers left the Forum to play at Staples now, Crytpo.
@Bearthafuckdown@Betsycashmoney I agree but there are only certain artists at a large scale level that will play soldier field, given play soldier field vs a new stadium that isn’t that far, they would probably chose Hammond especially in the winter if it has a roof
@Betsycashmoney@Bearthafuckdown Before SoFi, Inglewood was a tough spot with lots of crime, mostly motels and liquor stores.
Hammond, on the other hand, feels like a fresh start, compared to Inglewood.
@Bearthafuckdown@Betsycashmoney Let’s take SoFi as an example. It’s a newer venue near the LA Coliseum. If they build a brand-new stadium in Indiana, (not far from old Soldier Field) where do you think most of the entertainment will move all year long
@Maestermagoo Los Angeles has the Colosseum, but it really needed a modern arena in SoFi.
It once hosted the Olympics opening ceremonies and big concerts, but now it’s mostly for USC games.
The area around it declined after the Raiders and Rams moved away, the same around Soldier Field
@MidnoirCowboy bears fans don’t care really
Now if you ask Chicago residents who happened to be fans who lost their jobs and business when the team moves, you’ll have a different story
@3stripesmike Oakland is decimated right now financially and visually especially with increased crime and lack of revenue from tourism
Vegas was always about improving
@Betsycashmoney@SGTomaszewski Yet you don’t factor in local businesses closing and job losses, Indiana is investing in the Bears gaining those loses, Chicago as a whole can’t afford a stadium that is vacant the majority of the time
@BeardownMF Could you check with the Soldier Field staff and business folks after the Bears leave to see if they’re interested in where the stadium is located?
Do you think Seattle SuperSonics fans were really worried about the OKC Thunder winning a championship?
