Something funny happened in court yesterday. A guy who was standing trial for armed robbery that happened in 2020 in Lagos Island was listed again for murder that took place in 2022 in Sabo Yaba. Everybody in court was confused, including the judge whether it’s possible for the same person to have committed the two offences.

Mind you, the alleged murder took place in Yaba while he was in prison. So it was just impossible for him to be the one who committed murder. But the name was the same inside the information sheet and has his passport. They asked the guy, did you kill anybody in 2022? He said no. He was only arrested for Armed robbery in Lagos Island.

See, if they explain Nigeria to you and you understand it, you are a genius.
