@ClementJ64 There's also the fact that (aside from emulation) these collections are the only way that I (and many others) can afford to play the Mega Man series, as original carts and discs have become too expensive for me.
Granted, I still suck at the series, but still.
@TheSGB I'm going to be moving out for the first time tomorrow, so I've picked up new copies to play during the move.
In the latest of SGB-inspired pick-ups, you guys playing Majora has made me want to try the game again, after trying and not getting into it a few years ago.
Thank you.
@OnTheTimeLash Power was broadcast the Sunday after I was made redundant from a job that I enjoyed and felt appreciated and welcome in (along with other stuff that happened during that week), so it was a nice way to end a shit week.
The fact that it is one of the best of 13's run is a bonus.
@EscapeTraken Well, 'Vincent...' is one of my favourite 11 stories (both on original broadcast at 12 years old, and on rewatch recently), so it's Curtis for me.
I can't recall anything about Mathieson's stories from original broadcast (apart from Oxygen starting the Series 10 Monk trilogy).
Here's the progress on the '100 Days of Lists' journal. Just need to transfer the headings for each of the days across from the original book and I'll be ready to start writing in it.
@DoctorWhoNovels It's got to be Destiny.
A romp with disco robots, script-edited by Douglas Adams? It's no Genesis, but it's good fun at least.
"Oh, look - rocks!" gets a chuckle out of me every time. It has to be an Adams addition, right?
@EscapeTraken As someone who unironically loves the TV Movie as a guilty pleasure, it's got to be Jacobs.
That being said, I'm glad that we never got a full series from it, as the Americanisation is bloody awful (and dated, frankly). I'm not just saying that as someone who grew up with NuWho.
@DoctorWhoNovels That explains why, despite the street scenes from Talons clearly having a Victorian look, Northamptonshire's always had a mix of 1920s and modern (1970s/80s onwards) buildings.
@EscapeTraken It's Adric.
There's some great stories (Meglos, Warriors' Gate, Keeper of Traken, Castrovalva, Kinda, Black Orchid and Earthshock), but he's not the highlight.
I recently saw Season 18 and 19 (most of the stories for the first time ever) and I was looking forward to Earthshock.
In 2019/2020, I had every mainline Pokémon game, except for White 2.
I traded them in for a load of Doctor Who DVDs later on.
Now, my five-year-old brother's into Pokémon and, my God, those prices...
@DoctorWhoNovels Genesis for me.
I'm not a fan of Season 18 as a whole, really.
Meglos (which Baker just owns as a villain), Warriors' Gate (which is a damn good acid trip, and I share a birthday with Part One), Traken (which is a nice Shakespearian thing) rock, though
@EscapeTraken @DoctorWhoNovels I mean, Silver Nemesis is one of my guilty pleasure Who stories (as well as Season 25 being one of the few pretty damn flawless seasons of Classic Who, in my opinion), so...
@DoctorWhoNovels For me, it's Death hands down.
Revenge is just dull. My least favourite Cyberman story, by far.
That, and Death is an Agatha Christie romp abroad an Art Deco spaceship, which rocks.
