You're right on State Farm, but I think industry wide is not close. It's also optional with State Farm (nobody I know including myself when I used them had this turned on). Is interesting to think about this long term from the lemonade side, with their tech stack/expenses & headcount without brokers on top of continuous telematics
Continuous telematics is a big differentiator. Progressive has around 15% policies on continuous telematics while lemonade has over 90% and progressive is the darling in the insurance space due to their snapshot policy pricing.
Industry standard continuous telematics is under 5% if I'm not mistaken where lemonade is over 90%. This is a massive advantage to risk pricing.
