Martin, the energy market is in awful shape at the moment. Energy firms now remind me of the rail operators that failed. Regulation and price caps take away competitiveness, smaller players mass exited the market, now we just have are a few large companies that all feel the same, offering little value. Even if we go back to how it was before the Ukraine war it was too complex to navigate. Isn't it just time to start over?

@Therichardralph Because money in a tax shelter needs to be taxed? Or people shouldnt be allowed to have a balanced portfolio, or save up for a near term purchase, or have instant access to money for a rainy day? Make it make sense.. its a dirty tax raid and nothing more.

Isn't Nigel just pointing out an actual flaw in Policing guidance that likely led to this tragedy? He is not exploiting anything here. Starmer on the other hand is apparently struggling to learn whatever lessons he can, and probably not the Policing one staring directly in his face.
