@NuCaloric I was joking to my friends the other day that they should make a single player game that follows Xivu Arath fighting through the Ascendant Plane to regain access to her throne world and have it be developed by Santa Monica and play exactly like GoW and call it Goddess of War
@_Lexa_v Destiny community has been saying this for like 5 years, it was never meaningfully changed, and its probably one of the biggest reasons the game is now ending development. Awful
@NuCaloric@piggykropotkin But then you have simply have a storyline that never ends up mattering because it never concludes. Obviously people left after TFS and that’s part of why the game is now dead, but they shouldn’t have *never finished the story* to keep the game going forever.
@giancar73012035 The relevant point is not that Bungie should only make Destiny forever, but that they clearly *wanted* to continue doing so (laying out a new many year Saga), and evidently the management decisions that were made wrt to Destiny and Marathon were not good for the company.
@alisontheperson So sad how things had to end with this update narratively. The story was great in Year of Prophecy and I hope we get to see the rest of the Fate Saga play out somewhere, someday.
