@VertLIVE@WARDOGS Their bait and switch with Linux support is also a huge red flag.
They made a lot of Linux users pre order just to pull the plug a week prior to release.
They're already fumbling and it shows once again: You can't have nice things in gaming. You'll always get a taste of shit.
Don't worry, I've been running Linux for quite some time. It's just better in everything I need it for - the only thing that's holding it back is lack of professional software support (market share issue) and kernel level anti cheat (shouldn't even exist).
No one is stopping you from staying a good consoomor and keeping WIndows as your OS of choice.
@Anonymous022664@CautionryTales_@WARDOGS@FPSGamesShow That's a lot of extra steps just to make Windows less shit.
At this point, it's cozier to get Arch running the way you want it than to stop Microslop spying and trying to sell you something every time you turn on your PC.
@Refflyxx@DanielF737@WARDOGS Yeah, the new AC is going to do fuck all to stop cheaters.
It successfully locked out people that refuse to use Linux though, so that's something.
They effectively lost money on that move.
@DayJBDay@caeruleuse@WARDOGS@FPSGamesShow If the point is "to crash test their shit", wouldn't it make more sense to try to cram as many time zones into the launch hour?
@Ciruzzo941@WARDOGS@FPSGamesShow Joe already confirmed that they don't plan on opening the anti cheat for Linux anywhere near release. I had to refund sadly.
@CautionryTales_@WARDOGS@FPSGamesShow We'll see if it works out better this time.
Sadly I had to refund after being locked out of the game because I don't want Windows on my hardware.
@caeruleuse@WARDOGS@FPSGamesShow US maybe. The people that have to work in Europe probably won't be thrilled to start up a game at 9pm when there is a chance login server shitting the bed and getting on the game server at 10pm.
@ElectricRR@WARDOGS@FPSGamesShow Absolutely not, it just seems like they're overwhelmed by the success of the last beta and the pre orders.
No matter what they say on day X, it can be completely different a day after, if not hours after.
