Excellent analysis. A particular fail of the Kavanaugh opinion is his expression of the Trumpian view that "thousands of absentee ballots flow in after election day and potentially flip the results of an election." There are no results to flip if ballots are still being counted.

Important info for Wisconsin voters after SCOTUS ruling:

-You can request mail ballot until Oct 29. DO NOT MAIL IT BACK. It's unlikely to arrive by Election Day

-Return it at drop box

-If you requested mail ballot but haven't sent back you can vote at polls early or Nov 3
