Living for the Coldplay affair drama. The cheaters never think they are going to get caught. And then the people who are cheated on only do something because of public opinion. They are not strong enough to stand up on their own nice try.
Caught up with a guy I used to date. He’s supportive and as he listened to me he kindly interrupted me to say, “You should be more like this to guys going forward, vulnerable and open.” Might have been the first time ever that somebody saw or said I was vulnerable.
I just rsvp’d to my third wedding this year. I have no plus ones to any and that would normally freak me out going solo but I am used to it by now. Plus I am making my friends happy and that’s all I care about.
Somebody that I met once before got the impression that I was witty and a wise-ass. That’s such a compliment to me not because I strive to be like that but that’s really who I am. I like it when people can see my real self, warts and all.
In the last 2 weeks, I did stuff that I have been wanting to do/put off for years. I feel like I am pushing quickly out of my comfort zone and I like it.
February for me has been full of ups and downs. The downs are excruciatingly painful. Things that I never saw coming. I’m not sure how I am surviving right now. I figure I make my own rules.
The irony is lost on me that I have heard the same song twice in a resort casino where I saw musician perform some years ago. That last time the front desk person asked why I was here by myself for 2 days. She asked, “having affairs with married men?”
Had a tough week (or some would call horrible) but somehow the unlikeliest of guys turned out to be incredibly supportive. I am so, so thankful. Very thankful for them being there for me right away.
