#OBI is committed to promoting inclusion and equity for all communities. As part of this mission, the institute has initiated the Islamophobia project. This project aims to tackle discrimination, xenophobia, and intolerance faced by Muslim Americans and the global Muslim community.

Since the 9/11 attacks, Islamophobia has evolved, shifting blame onto all Muslims for the actions of a few and becoming institutionalized in both policy and rhetoric. The project is dedicated to unmasking these complexities and challenging the power structures perpetuating discrimination.
