“I will be surprised honestly to see or to hear tomorrow that the Supreme Court of Canada will be refusing to give hope for Canadians,” said Samer Majzoub, the president of the Canadian Muslim Forum. “We have to put in mind that those individuals, those young ladies, those men are Canadians and they have their all rights to be preserved.

Le Forum Musulman Canadien (FMC-CMF) salue l'accord de cessez-le-feu à Gaza

Le Forum Musulman Canadien (FMC-CMF) se félicite de l'annonce du cessez-le-feu à Gaza et se joint à l'élan mondial en faveur de cette trêve. En défendant les droits humains fondamentaux et le droit à la vie, le FMC-CMF appelle le gouvernement fédéral canadien ainsi que les organisations caritatives à agir immédiatement pour fournir une aide humanitaire essentielle au peuple de Gaza, qui a subi des mois de souffrances intenses en raison du conflit en cours.

Le FMC-CMF rappelle que l'aide humanitaire doit rester neutre et à l'abri de toute influence politique. Nous demandons une intervention rapide, directe et sans entraves pour acheminer l'aide nécessaire à Gaza, sans retard ni condition. Face à l'ampleur de la crise, il est impératif que cette assistance parvienne aux populations les plus vulnérables, notamment les enfants, les femmes et les personnes atteintes de maladies chroniques. Les impacts à long terme de cette destruction nécessitent des réponses immédiates et durables.

Le Forum Musulman Canadien reste résolument optimiste quant à l'engagement continu des acteurs internationaux et locaux en faveur de la reconstruction de Gaza et de la réduction des souffrances de sa population. Nous insistons sur l'importance de placer la dignité humaine et les droits fondamentaux au cœur de toutes les actions et réponses humanitaires.
