@mehdirhasan This is a false comparison—based on the criticisms of Saudi Arabia you stated, name one-time a Muslim has been asked to state they do not believe in Saudi Arabia’s right to exist (not just if they support it) in order to enter a college campus, run for office, etc?
@AaronRegunberg I have never heard the term “ethnostate” used for any other country, despite the fact that many are tied to one religion/ethnicity—simply tell my why that is? Why isn’t it the enthnostate of Turkey?
@DovWaxman “Emotionally Attached”? Most Jews believe Israel has the right to exist as a Jewish homeland, whether they support the current govt or its actions. Piker doesn’t. He doesn’t simply condemn the current govt or its actions—he condemns its existence and all Jews that support it.
@mehdirhasan You are the damage, don’t blame Israel and their supporters. Criticizing Israel is fair, stating that anyone who isn’t critical of Israel (or not critical enough to the degree you want) is part of a secret Jewish cabal that controls the media is anti-semitism.
@Nize3681145@dasmadchengyal Yea—Jews have never supported the black community. Maybe you should do some research on that…pretty sure they played highly active role in the American Civil Rights Movement, forming a crucial alliance with African American leaders…but you can pretend whatever you want.
@Skank_Hunt62@dasmadchengyal 4 people split 49.5% of the votes and she won 50.5% of the votes…so the issue was the 4 way split? How did you do on the math section if you SATs?
@yeh_papa@dasmadchengyal Split votes? She got over 50% of the votes, if there had been only one other candidate she would have won 50.5% to 49.5% (Math!).
@QueenMab87@DavidSuissaJJ It doesn’t leave them out—it purposefully erases them (“the land currently known as Israel”). The writer’s purpose is to explicitly exclude Jews from MENA culture and even imply MENA culture has united and grown from other groups mutually ganging up on the Jews and erasing them.
@QueenMab87 It doesn’t have to be…but this one is. It doesn’t just leave out Jews it erases them. It casually categorizes Zionism as a form of hate (without nuance). It explicitly says “Israel has no culture.” It even reuses Nazi typeface that has long been abandoned for its headline…
@AbdulElSayed 1. Why are you reposting/recycling this “breaking bread at Seder” line—it’s stupid and shows lack of knowledge or care
2. This simply isn’t true. You can’t say you understand why terrorists would kill Jews and sympathize with them, and still say you’re committed to Jewish safety
@RaniaKhalek I’m Jewish, I support Israel’s right to exist. That said I oppose its leaders and many of its actions. Are you asking me to leave the Dem Party and not vote for its candidates ever again…because it seems your saying unless I endorse the destruction of Israel you don’t want me
@FarrowMia40582 He also hates Jewish people; and for some reason people like you expect Jews to excuse this because he has good healthcare policy. You’d never ask any other minority to accept a candidate’s utter disdain for them because they otherwise have good policy.
@mehdirhasan The term Terrorist Organization is not actually “highly contested”—except by DSA supporters and anti-Semites who masquerade as anti-Israel partisan
@KenRoth Yes, because all the economic problems of the world boil down to AIPAC’s lobbying efforts…not a single other lobby group that is affecting how $ gets spent.
@ahmed_nashwan1 And you saw no irony in the fact that Egypt’s wall between it and Gaza is higher and stronger than Israel’s, and lets through less Gaza and aid? Only thing they let in is Hamas aid, only thing they let out is Hamas $$$. They certainly divide.
