However, at the Art Business Conference in London on Wednesday, most agreed that it’s impossible to ignore the contraction. “There’s no excuse now,” Roman Kräussl of Bayes Business School in London, said during a panel titled “Strategies in a Deflated Art Market.” “It’s not because of Covid, it’s not because of war, it’s not because of elections. This isn’t just a blip, it’s ongoing.”
