“Jesus Christ is the reason we build temples. Each is His holy house. Making covenants and receiving essential ordinances in the temple, as well as seeking to draw closer to Him there, will bless your life in ways no other kind of worship can."—President @NelsonRussellM
In the kingdom of God, there can be no halfway measures, no starting and stopping, no turning back. The loyalty we pledge to the cause of Christ should be the supreme devotion of our lives.
We are here on earth to be tested, to see if we will choose to follow Jesus Christ, to repent regularly, to learn, and to progress. Our spirits long to progress. And we do that best by staying firmly on the covenant path.
Our happiness will come in living a faith-filled life. As we begin this new year, may we resolve to live the right way for the right reasons—reasons that are eternal, reasons that matter in this life and in the next.
If you find yourself worrying about what other people say about you, may I suggest this antidote: remember who you are.
Remember that you are of the royal house of the kingdom of God, children of Heavenly Parents, who love you and who want you to succeed in life.
The Lord Jesus Christ atoned for us. As we repent, He has the power to forgive, redeem us from sin, change our hearts, strengthen us, and keep us on the path to our Heavenly Father.
My friends, life will challenge you. Difficulties will come. Heartbreaks will strike. So, wherever you are going, make your way to Christ first. Make your covenants with Him and keep them as you journey on.
“As we seek the guidance of the Spirit and trust the Lord, we will be placed in situations and circumstances where we can act and bless—in other words, minister.” -W. Christopher Waddell
Whoa (oh oh)! 10 years ago today the duet I did with @MileyCyrus for Hannah Montana was released! Anyone remember this one?? We were so young! Should we do another duet? 😉 #IWannaKnowYou
Understanding the doctrine of Christ and strengthening our testimony is a labor that will bring real joy and satisfaction. We need to consistently study the words of Christ as found in the scriptures and the words of living prophets. —Michael John U. Teh
Elder Garth Brooks once said, “Sometimes I thank God for unanswered prayers.” The Lord sees your future. You may be hurting now, but Heaven is guiding you to future friends and happiness. Stay the course and trust that “the man upstairs” knows what He’s doing.
