Does anyone hate Portugal for its own sake and not just as the default of hating Cristiano Ronaldo? I know a lot of people (esp in South America + UK) dislike Argentina a lot more than they do Messi if at all…
@ImNotOwned Either they were big enough to get broad national media coverage or people are allowed to hold that against the national media for presenting that as the expert-backed take on the situation.
As someone who would impeach any president who tried it and then some: I think Talarico probably would vote for a court packing plan. I’m 100% sure Ken Paxton would vote for one.
I don't know how Talarico would vote on court-packing. (I'm against it.) I know Paxton will vote to enable every corrupt and authoritarian move by this administration.
Evidence against the current interpretation of birthright citizenship (being challenged by the Trump admin before SCOTUS):
If anyone who is born on US soil is automatically a citizen, then why did Congress need to enact a statute granting citizenship to Native Americans?
@dilanesper@GraemeEdgeler If the courts aren’t mandating the states to do the thing, the ones ultimately causing the chaos are the states. Alabama isn’t being required by SCOTUS to redraw.
@TradeandMoney@DerekPederson3 As would Platner in a heartbeat and even more enthusiastically provided the asset were a left winger who thinks the USSR were the better side in the Cold War
@SFlipp@atlanticesque@Gallow_Dance The problem with them is that RFK is an unqualified nutjob, regardless of party (he was one as a Dem and is one now) and Tulsi is a hardline Kremlin sympathizer and even pushes CCP priorities, regardless of party (was one as a Dem and is one now).
