That’s for ME!
I bladdy love TikTok. The algorithms don’t always work in my favour but I do love it. I upload a video and it gets 4 million views and the next one I upload gets 400.
Make it make sense.
Anyway, it’s more about the content I’m being fed. I love it. My video feed is so happy. It’s filled with dogs, and that guy with the duck, and house renovations, and people singing, and the BEST storytelling and lots and lots of inspirational videos.
Lekker happy stuff.
You may not know this but every single person’s newsfeed is COMPLETELY different. And that goes for most social media platforms. You see, the more you engage with certain content, the more it is “fed” to you. When you slow your scroll down - even for a split-second - maybe to read something, a headline, then the algorithm believes you are interested in that content and starts to show you more of it.
The fact that you’re seeing this right now is a flipping miracle. It means that maybe you enjoy my ramblings.
I digress.
There is a new TikTok trend where people are talking about the fact that when you say out loud, “That’s for ME”, then you can manifest it into being.
That job you are hoping to get? The quickest route through the traffic? Those Taylor Swift tickets? Calmness through the chaos? Or maybe just a little more happiness, even if it's just for today?
All you have to say is, “That’s for ME”.
And then believe it.
While doing everything in your power to make it happen.
But us “29-year-olds” have known this for years.
A book called “The Secret” was released 17 years ago (and was based on a book written over 100 years before that), and it became many of our “life guides”. Well, it did for me, anyway. The book, written by Rhonda Byrne, explains how the law of attraction - which states that positive energy attracts positive things into your life - governs your thinking and actions and how you can use the power of positive thinking to achieve anything you can imagine.
You can manifest good things into your life by believing in them. By willing them into being.
I have lived my life by this mantra. That the universe is always working for me. That opportunities are endless. That I have the power to create my own happiness. That I can manifest a life that I absolutely love.
That I am the luckiest guy in the world.
You see, I believe that it is for me.
And then I do everything in my power to make it happen.
I know that it won’t always work out. And that it's not always going to be easy. But I think it’s the notion of holding onto hope that keeps the idea "that it's for me" alive.
Hope is one of the strongest forces in the world. Hope inspires us to dream beyond our limitations and pushes us to find the courage to pursue those dreams. Hope is the whisper of possibility that keeps our spirits alive, even in the face of adversity.
Yes, that’s for me.
And I hope it’s for you too.
Okay. Love you. Bye.
