Terrifying night. The other day, a sound producer in London asked me if r*ssians target civilians when they shell Ukraine, because if they do, then it's terr*r. I said that I don't remember them ever targeting anything BUT civilians.
I want to remind all my listeners around the world that r*ssia is a t*rrorist state. and always was.
Всі, хто спускається в укриття , я пишаюся вами!
100%. We should not shy away from making known the fact that western refusal to help Ukraine as it defends itself - and all of us - from fascist Russia only helps Moscow in its objective of destroying the Ukrainian nation and people. We have a duty to STOP genocide, not allow it.
‼️In this video, a woman is asking someone on the phone, "Are you guys alright?" It's something Ukrainians do on nights like this, no matter how far apart they are.
While she's still on the phone, she witnesses a direct russian strike in her own neighborhood.
The russians aren't even hiding it anymore. They are deliberately targeting residential buildings. Their targets are families with children, asleep before another workday.
They aren't even pretending to target military positions anymore.
And somehow, much of the Western world has simply said, "Okay," and gone along with it.
We are doing everything we can to defend Ukraine, all of Europe, and the European way of life.
Please stay active.
Please help us bring our people home from Russian captivity – our children, prisoners of war, civilian hostages, including three OSCE officials.
Please keep helping us protect our people through your political leadership and practical decisions.
Please also support our efforts for diplomacy – so that this war ends through negotiations, NOT through more destruction, which is exactly what Russia wants.
Help make sure our air defense – our Patriot systems – never run-out of the missiles they need.
That is what saves lives.
From a video address to the 33rd Annual Session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly.
Putin now has what he needed to scale up the mass murder of Ukraine's civilian population, a dream of every Russian czar before him.
With allies like the US refusing to sell air defense missiles, Putin can pacify the Russian population's bloodlust and impress Trump in one shot.
Another night of Russian genocide of Ukrainians. Another night without a NATO humanitarian military mission to protect Ukrainian civilians from death and infrastructure from destruction.
Russian genocide continues unabated despite our duty to stop it.
As Putin's domestic situation continues to unravel, the aging dictator sees the mass murder of Ukrainian civilians as the only means by which to pacify his own increasingly pitchfork-minded population.
While Russian society implodes, fuel-hungry citizens queue for days, bread shortages emerge, and agriculture becomes the next domino to fall, the dictator spends $1,000,000,000 in just five days targeting apartment buildings in Kyiv.
Russia’s strike on Kyiv and the Kyiv region has already killed 14 people. 80 more were injured.
Behind every number is someone’s home, family, life.
Russia did this.
Another Russian attack on Kyiv.
What military value is there in blowing apart apartment buildings? What battlefield advantage is gained by murdering civilians?
Russia can’t win on the front, so they take to slaughtering the innocent in their beds.
Pure barbarism.
Last night, 0 out of 23 Iskander ballistic missiles intercepted. 0 out of 6 Zircon missiles intercepted.
I’ve been warning for months that Ukraine urgently needs ballistic missile interceptors. Yet beyond a few symbolic gestures, very little has changed.
The fact that not a single ballistic missile was intercepted shows a dangerous reality: it’s just an execution of Ukraine and its civilians without ability to fight back.
Stop cheering Ukraine’s “success” while it still lacks the basic means to protect its own people.
The most dangerous illusion is believing Ukraine is doing so well that it no longer needs Western support. It doesn’t—and it can’t produce every critical capability on its own.
Cowards and their cowardly acts… that is the only thing one can say to the faces of these russians. Do they really believe that Ukrainians who were sleeping in their own homes - children, the elderly, women - are giving some kind of military orders aimed at russia? On nights and early mornings like these, your eyes witness people running out of their destroyed apartments barefoot, wearing whatever they had on. They witness the dead being pulled out from under the rubble. Do the russians seriously think that these people have anything to do with where missiles fly or what decisions politicians and military leaders in Ukraine make?
You can argue about politics, you can have different views on what is happening. But when civilians die, it cannot be a reason for gloating or excuses. How can anyone even wish death upon others? We are not the arbiters of fate. Someone else's pain should not be a cause for joy. If a person stops empathizing with another’s grief just because it happened to "the wrong people," they lose the most important thing - their humanity. But Ukrainians have neighbors who lost this humanity long ago, and some, it seems, never had it at all. This is the reason why, looking out from the windows of our homes in Ukrainian cities, our courtyards look exactly as you see in this video. This was just a simple street, a quiet, peaceful courtyard in a residential neighborhood of Kyiv.
This is not a fire show or a star wars scene. It’s #russia bombing #Ukraine. Had no sleep tonight in #Kyiv as the city shook. 11 killed. Too many didn’t wake up, buried under the rubble of their homes.
The video shows the horrifying moments of today’s strikes on Kyiv. The death toll has risen to 11 people.
The main damage was caused by ballistic missiles. Since Trump came to power, Ukraine has been facing a critical shortage of Patriot interceptor missiles.
Trump promised to “end the war in 24 hours,” and many believed him.
Instead, he gave Putin a blank check. He invited this war criminal to the United States. And now Putin’s portrait hangs in the White House.
It is no surprise that, since Trump’s return, russian missile and drone attacks on Ukraine have skyrocketed.
Trump’s pro-russian rhetoric, refusal to support Ukraine, and repeated praise of Putin have emboldened the Kremlin to escalate its assault.
The United States halted military aid to Ukraine.
Ukraine is now critically short of air defense systems. Civilians are dying because they cannot be adequately protected.
U.S. intelligence support was curtailed, weakening Ukraine’s ability to defend itself and allowing russian forces to gain territory and advance further.
Instead of standing with Ukraine, Trump handed a lifeline to the russian economy. By removing restrictions on russian oil, billions of dollars are flowing back into the Kremlin’s war machine.
That means more missiles. More drones. More dead Ukrainians.
Trump has become an enabler of russian terrorism. History will remember this.
Last night Ukraine could not intercept a single Russian ballistic missile. The USA deliberately starving Ukraine of Patriot missiles is now clearly understood by the Russians as American support for their terror bombing. The USA is helping Putin kill Ukrainians.
Ukraine 🇺🇦 did not intercept a single one of the 23 Iskander ballistic missiles fired at Kyiv tonight because it ran out of PAC-3 interceptors, and the US 🇺🇸 doesn’t send more
Putin is getting exactly what he wanted from Trump, a defenseless Ukraine which can be bombed endlessly
🇷🇺 russia once again struck high-rise apartment blocks with kamikaze drones and ballistic missiles. All they know how to do is kill civilians.
Just remember, russia kills kids.
Ukraine has to defend itself from these orcs.
