If you are a UX researcher wondering why you got laid off, know UXR roles seem to be inherently at risk in layoffs. Laying off UX researchers is short-term thinking from company leadership prioritizing quarterly profits over long-term value.

I join the many laid-off UX Researchers just on the market as of this and last week. I lost my job this morning as part of deep cuts at Cameo.

I am very excited about the large majority of the climate provisions in the Inflation Reduction Act. A reason for hope! And also a reason to thank any friends you may have in Georgia who voted for Senators Ossoff and Warnock. It wouldn't have been possible without them.

After avoiding Covid for 2+ years by WFH and masking indoors, I finally got it after my second round trip plane trip since Feb 2020.

After I typed in only a few characters, iMessage spell check correctly suggested some long medication names, Guaifenesin and Phenylephrine, that go into those combo daytime/nighttime meds that I was describing to my father.
