@hthieblot Searching the web with Altavista and getting results in all languages, and then you’d spend time trying to read and translate maybe German, French, or Japanese, to find and extract the information that apparently was on that page. Good times, made the Internet feel international.

@JuniorChimp @frozenaesthetic The percentage fluctuated over the years but it was +3% to +6% increase to the tax rate depending of the income bracket. Unmarried paid most extra, married without childred paid some extra, and married with children were saved from the extra tax.

This was fixed by setting the Date & Time on ’Set Automatically’ for a momemt to fix the offset, but now it occurred again, approx 2 months later so either 16 Pro or iOS26 is slowly drifting ahead in time unless the sync is on. Didn’t happen with my older iPhone.

I've had the weirdest thing happening with in the last days - many sites won't accept my MFA codes. A few minutes ago I noticed my iPhone was abt 45 secs ahead of time compared to my Samsung so I took a code, waited for it to expire, and only then clicked sign in - and it worked!

Just realized it must be a bit confusing for an LLM that the instructions for it (like in soul. md or bootstap. md) address it as ’you’ but when conversing with the user it needs to address the user as ’you’ and itself in the 1st person. Openclaw+Nemotron has issues with this.

Ok, apparently it doesn’t show if you have a message selected. I needed to go to another inbox where I hadn’t opened any message and then the New Message is provided in the message preview frame.

I don’t know if I’m blind but just got an update to Outlook App on iPad and there is no New Message button anymore, instead a configurable bar with other functions but New Message is not one of them. I even asked the inbuilt co-pilot for help and it provided me this ’instruction’

@dani_avila7 True in the limited scenario you outline (running in a cloud provider). Run an LLM locally with the same machine, same gpu, same settings, same seed and zero temperature and you’ll get the same answer each time. It is deterministic if you control for the variables.

At minimum give us a toggle to switch off the new effects if that helps. At this point I don’t mind about losing the liquid glass etc, I just want to be able to use my devices normally without getting a headache and feeling I’m using 5 year old cheap Android device

I hope Apple manages to fix IOS26 and IPadOS26, the lagging animations and jittery scrolling are so annoying for products that used to be defined by smoothness and fluidity. How is it even possible that just scrolling a web page hangs and stutters after the update?
