a lot of people talk about AI like it only exists in the cloud.
but the cloud is really just buildings full of GPUs.
and those buildings are becoming harder to build.
communities push back because of power consumption.
new projects get delayed.
yet demand for compute keeps growing.
at the same time, a gaming PC in someone’s house can sit unused for most of the day.
same type of hardware,
just sitting there doing nothing.
that’s the problem @YOM_Official is trying to solve.
YOM is a distributed compute network where people can connect hardware they already own and get paid for providing compute.
the easiest example is gaming:
let’s say you open a game on your phone or laptop but you are not running the heavy part on that device.
somewhere else, a person’s PC with a GPU starts the game for you and sends the picture to your screen.
and when the session ends, the operator gets paid in $YOM.
which is why $YOM isn’t some extra token added later.
it is how the network pays for compute:
◉ operators earn $YOM for the compute they provide
◉ network usage burns a portion of $YOM
◉ the system is already running on-chain
$YOM is already available on MEXC.
not telling anyone what to do with it.
i just think the compute conversation makes more sense when you look at it this way:
if the machines already exist, why are we still waiting for more buildings?
