“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives; the one who seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” Matthew 7:7-8
It’s good to take advice, it’s good to listen to wise counsel, but nobody can hear what you hear on the inside. Other people may mean well, but they don’t know what God put in you. They don’t know the dreams, the desires, the calling.
So many people today wonder what God’s will is for their lives. Oftentimes, they look for big things, signs, and supernatural events. But really, God’s will for us unfolds each and every day as we obey Him and serve Him with a thankful heart.
You have to serve your commitment, and eventually, that commitment will serve and benefit you. Some people fear that if they make a commitment, they’ll end up being disappointed. But it’s only the commitments you make with your whole heart that cause you to gain in the long run.
Deuteronomy 28:2 says that when you honor God, “You will become a magnet for blessings.” That means you attract the goodness of God. When you keep God first place, favor overtakes you. That’s not a coincidence. That’s the commanded blessing on your life.
The beauty of the joy that Jesus gives us is that it is not dependent on what is going on around us. Jesus prayed that His joy would “remain in you, and that your joy may be full” (John 15:11). His joy is in us.
Sometimes we fall into the thinking that God loves us according to our performance. But that is not true. Actually, that couldn't be further from the truth. God loves us unconditionally. You can't work for God's love; you can only believe and receive it.
Start off your day by thanking God for who He is and all that He has done for you. “Father, thank You for my health. Thank You for my children. Thank You for my family. Thank You for my home.” Your praise is what gets God’s attention and activates His favor.
The longer I live, the more I understand how important loving and serving relationships are, and how important it is to be in a community with one another. We are the happiest and the healthiest when we are loving and serving other people.
I affirm:
✨️ Things are falling into place for me. I am happy. I am at peace. I am calm. I attract great life experiences and wonderful people into my life. ✨️
