@ScoutingTheRefs Didn't Tarasenko get an illegal stick penalty at one point? He picked up Colton Parayko's and used it, and was called since he didn't have the exception Parayko does for using so long of a stick.
@TallBlondeGuy@Julio_Bones_@DownGoesBrown About it being objective. It's only cross-checking if you do it "forcefully." According to the NHL rule book. It's only a penalty "at the discretion of the Referee based on the severity of contact." It is 100% subjective.
@mike_omo79@jprutherford@nytimes So teams are trying to win it all at this year's TDL, but won't be at next year's? Lol. Blues guys are having down years AND teams would have to fit them under next year's cap. Their value will be the same or higher in 12 months.
@mike_omo79@jprutherford@nytimes How? What difference does it make to the Blues if they trade people now, at the draft, or at next TDL? All that matters is them getting the best return possible.
@B_Kenny131@brianm1669@worldhockeyrpt Sabres benefit most from it leaking, as he is far more likely to waive his NTC if there is public pressure than if there is not.
@JasonGregor@JJNHLNFLetc I'd argue looking at the league as a whole would be a mistake. For instance 2013-2020, Blues drafted 8 players 20-40th overall. 6 of them are having successful NHL careers. Why should DA care about other teams failing with late first rounders when he (mostly) succeeds?
@houston_brogan Except he would be a UFA if he were due a new contract today. I'm uncertain if you are trolling, or just genuinely don't know that much about the NHL.
@andystrickland This explanation is just irrelevant word salad to anyone who has actually read the NHL rule. Attacking player initiated contact in the crease. That means no goal. Whether goalie was prevented from making save only matters if goalie initiated contact.
@NHL@SeattleKraken@Energizer You really don't want to be amplifying a game that will be spend the rest of the year being held up as evidence the officials are betting on games. If that wasn't goalie interference, nothing is.
@RussoHockey I mean... your article claims Hartman is Binnington's "arch-nemesis." Everyone knows that's Kadri. It seems pretty clear you are clearly more of a Wild fan than an objective reporter.
@jaysonst@TylerKepner Let me guess: PEDs users are out, because cheating is unacceptable. But Astros players are in, because it's not your job to punish players for cheating.
@andystrickland Marco Scandella was a natural fit from day 1. Nick Leddy was a natural fit from day 1.
Signing aging defenseman based on how they looked with Parayko for a short initial period has not worked out well for the Blues in the past.
@blueshockeynews @MtlfanSakic @jprutherford No. There is a difference between IR and LTIR. IR you don't take up a roster spot, but nothing changes cap wise. LTIR effects cap. They show roster with him on IR.
