@thmsrx Thanks! Not in the firmware yet: an opening/closing is just a short burst of vibration. Two thresholds (wake-up and report level) are tunable per setup from Home Assistant, and the motor-vs-wind filtering lives in HA, e.g. ignore reports while the awning is moving.
New side project: Brezza, a battery-powered Zigbee vibration sensor that tells Home Assistant when the wind is shaking your awning.

Picking up a #sideproject after months: I updated Thook, which turns GitHub, GitLab, Gitea/Forgejo and Netlify webhooks into #Telegram messages. More services, notifications that update themselves, and the code finally tidy. I missed working on it. https://t.co/C8PY6inuij
@barberaf84 “More space for human collaboration” is a nice way to put it. The agent removes the typing, the pair keeps the judgment. Curious whether the agent changed what you two talk about, more trade-offs, fewer syntax details?
@ryantcwynar Thanks! Honest answer: the sensor doesn’t. It reports 5 s vibration RMS, re-measuring every 30 s while shaking, and Home Assistant decides: one report = gust, “above threshold for N min” = sustained. Retraction via ESPSomfy-RTS is a great idea, it’s on my list.
Another side project: Basecamp-UI, a custom UI for Home Assistant, built as a custom panel instead of Lovelace.

Fanno azioni completamente senza senso
