@_toumeishoujo Ruminations on class and bastardry, what it means to belong to an institution, striving to do what is right even if it means being an unremembered hero... these are all huge themes for Jon that have nothing to do with Arya.
@_toumeishoujo Respectfully disagree. This feels like an overcorrection to Arya's relative lack of acknowledgement in the fandom, because as much as Jon and Arya are deeply important to each other, they are separate characters with separate stories and virtues.
@andrewrobs@DAMendelsohnNYC@nybooks It's discussed in the beginning of his translation of The Odyssey, but tldr Mendelsohn believes that Wilson's iambic pentameter sacrifices meaning and texture that's present in the Greek original
My hc is that Lyanna climbed the heart tree to hang up the shield bc she couldn't bear the thought of an act of justice going forgotten simply because she was not born a man, only for Rhaegar + Arthur to walk into the clearing the moment she got back down https://t.co/n8HSjccNdH
It wasn't Harren, Arya wanted to say, it was me. […] I'm the ghost in Harrenhal, she thought. And that night, there was one less name to hate.
