NEW: Chicago police are investigating a brutal attack on a 33-year-old mother and her 9-year-old son, who were jumped by a mob of children and teens.

The family reports that the boy had been bullied for two years, and yesterday, as the mother was walking her children home from school, the group turned on her.

“I can’t sleep. I wake up in the middle of the night with the vision of my son calling my name, begging for help — and I couldn’t do anything for him. That’s what hurts me the most,” the victim said.

No arrests have been made so far, but the community is calling for the violent attackers to be expelled from the school and for their parents to be held accountable.

UPDATE: Woman, whose daughter was part of a mob that viciously attacked a mother and her young son in Chicago, lectured other parents, insisting that these violent thugs are “all children” and “the future.” She even claimed that anyone laughing at them is “laughing at themselves.”

Her daughter, an 8th grader, brags about being an A student and homecoming queen. These claims that ring hollow after she was caught on video joining the attack on a mother and her child.
