@9ailiall I have a similar situation and I think it’s at least good to be vocal about your beliefs and try to reduce the meat you eat and eat it locally when you do. Better than nothing
@ashdiariees Like yeah there’s no ethical consumption under capitalism but let’s all admit that the meat industry is one of the greatest horrors of civilization and frankly we should all feel horrible for partaking. Even if we don’t go vegan let’s at least try to eat Less and eat Local
@ashdiariees Infinite cope in the comments… coming from a non-vegan, we need to admit that we are in the moral wrong here and stop making excuses for our shortcomings. It’s a fault of character
@ashdiariees I personally am not vegan because I have other extremely limiting dietary restrictions and being vegan would just make me unable to eat out socially with friends and I already feel like a burden so i just don’t have the willpower but that is MY FAULT
@_thespi@luchipregnation@addlehasacat If an uneducated young girl has sex a boy because she has been told that’s ’what you do’, that’s how you ‘grow up’, but she feels no attraction and is just apathetic afterwards but later in life finds herself sexually attracted to women and not men would you not consider her gay
@luchipregnation@addlehasacat Is it genuinely beyond your comprehension that someone could have a different experience than you? There are people under intense pressure to perform heterosexuality. People have sex without attraction ALL the time. Why do you think you know everything about everyone
@les4lesagenda1@earth2elyy You genuinely care more about putting people into boxes they don’t identify with than recognizing the inherent fluidity of human sexuality and allowing people to express their desires freely. Your attachment to the ‘purity’ of constructed identity is almost religious
@les4lesagenda1@earth2elyy You think that sexuality is some ideal, metaphysical, unchangable thing when in reality it is flexible the way all human traits are. Hormones, lived experience, psychoactives, etc. can all affect the way we experience sexual desire and denying that is delusional
@radicalmortis Idol culture objectifies and exploits women and it’s ridiculous that you concern yourself with transgender individuals when your feminism clearly is not very radical in the first place
@exposedmidriff Right, and obviously the artist is drawing an individual who differs from that generalization. It isn’t wrong to do so, and claiming that there is something wrong with this depiction because ‘the character hasn’t shaved’ shames women with body hair
