The grand temple constructed at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi has become a center of reverence, faith, and devotion for the entire Hindu society, owing to the struggles of generations and the dedication, sacrifice, and martyrdom of crores of Rambhakts. (devotees.) The unfortunate incident of theft in the donation boxes kept at the Shri Ram Lalla temple in Ayodhya has deeply hurt the sentiments and faith of the entire society and Ram devotees; we are all extremely pained and angered by this event.

At the earnest request of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, the Uttar Pradesh government constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) and initiated legal proceedings based on its recommendations. It is essential to ensure that anyone found guilty after the investigation faces severe punishment.

It is natural for the entire Hindu society, including the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, to expect the Trust to treat this highly condemnable incident as an extraordinary matter and take effective steps to rectify all shortcomings in temple management and operations. This is crucial to ensure that the faith and reverence of crores of Ram devotees in the Ayodhya temple remain unbroken and steadfast. The current state of confusion and uncertainty must end. In this regard, we expect the temple management and the government-appointed SIT to take all necessary initiatives. We are confident that through proper financial management, flawless and transparent operational systems, and an atmosphere imbued with purity, sanctity, and true dharmikta, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust will continue to strengthen the faith and trust of the Hindu society.

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh also calls upon the entire Hindu society to display necessary patience and restraint during this difficult moment and to thwart the conspiracies of anti-Hindu and anti-national forces seeking to malign the Hindu dharma and society by exploiting this unfortunate incident.

Bengaluru ORR Flooding: A Recurring Challenge That Needs Structural Solutions

Yesterday's (June 2) heavy rainfall once again flooded key stretches of Bengaluru’s ORR, including Panathur, Balagere and Varthur, resulting in severe congestion and hours-long commutes for thousands of employees and residents.

While the immediate trigger was an intense pre-monsoon downpour, the root causes remain unchanged:
- Blocked and poorly maintained shoulder drains
- Stormwater drains clogged with plastic, silt, sand and construction debris
- Encroachment of drains and rajakaluves, reducing carrying capacity
- Bottlenecks at critical lake interconnections and culverts
- Ongoing infrastructure and metro construction impacting road and drainage networks

Amidst the disruption, it was encouraging to see citizens, volunteers, traffic police, and local communities come together to assist stranded commuters, help manage traffic movement, and clear blockages wherever possible. Their swift response and collective effort helped ease the situation.

Action requested from the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA):
✅ Fast-track desilting and cleaning of all stormwater drains before peak monsoon
✅ Remove encroachments along Rajakaluves and restore original drain widths
✅ Undertake a corridor-wide drainage capacity assessment and upgrade bottleneck culverts
✅ Implement a real-time flood monitoring and rapid-response mechanism for critical ORR junctions

The solution is not just better roads, but integrated stormwater infrastructure that matches the scale and density of Bengaluru’s IT corridor.

Summer is a challenging season for wildlife, and the Tamil Nadu Forest Department has undertaken extensive measures to ensure that animals have access to water across forest habitats. The Department maintains one of the country’s largest water networks for wildlife which includes 373 borewells, 8,421 check dams, 2,734 percolation ponds, 541 water troughs, 270 waterholes, 115 open wells, 164 abd overhead tanks supplemented by natural water sources within forest landscapes. To further augment water availability this year, the Department has created additional water conservation structures, including 15 new check dams and 21 water troughs. Forest divisions have been proactively replenishing water bodies, pre-filling vulnerable water sources and supplying water through tankers wherever required to ensure uninterrupted availability during the dry months. Monitoring is being carried out through MSTrIPES, geo-tagged photographs, camera traps and real-time digital reporting systems #TNForest

This is one of the worst stretches in Bengaluru, and unfortunately, this is not the first time it has been waterlogged. Year after year, every time heavy rain hits the city, this underpass turns into a lake, causing severe inconvenience to commuters, damaging vehicles, and putting lives at risk. Despite repeated incidents and countless complaints from citizens, nothing seems to have changed. The most frustrating part is that this problem is entirely predictable. Authorities know exactly what happens here during every monsoon, yet there appears to be no permanent solution or effective drainage system in place. Instead, residents and daily commuters are forced to suffer the same ordeal repeatedly while promises of infrastructure improvements remain on paper. Citizens pay taxes expecting better roads, proper stormwater management, and safe public infrastructure. However, situations like this raise serious questions about planning, accountability, and maintenance. How many more years will people have to endure the same issue before meaningful action is taken? A city aspiring to be a global technology hub cannot afford to have critical roads and underpasses flooded after every spell of rain. Public issues deserve attention, and citizens deserve better than the same recurring problem year after year.

- He was accused of issuing a ₹0.10 ticket instead of ₹0.15 and keeping 5 paise.
- The DTC filed a case against him.
- In 1976, he was dismissed from his job.
- He fought the case in court for decades.
- In 1990, he won in the Labour Court.
- DTC kept appealing, dragging the case in the High Court for over 40 years.
- DTC spent ₹47,000 to recover 5 paise.

In 2016, the Delhi High Court dismissed DTC's appeal and directed it to pay Yadav ₹30,000, along with ₹1.28 lakh as gratuity and ₹1.37 lakh as CPF.

This is how an innocent man’s life was wasted fighting for 5 paise, while ministers commit fraud of crores and live comfortably in London.

India has 9 Hornbill species, of which 4 are found in the Western Ghats. Hornbills need cavities in large native trees to nest as they can not excavate their own nest. That is why their survival depends upon the survival of native trees in tropical forest. We need to therefore protect the entire ecosystem in which they thrive.
