@SanAntonioTim I’m in. Neither team has ever won a WS. But as a white Sox fan I’m all in with Cleveland proving how good the AL central is at baseball. It’s been a long time for them and they have been a playoff team for over a decade… anyone but the dodgers I guess, but I also want a CAP
@HeadRichard6969 No, they’re losing because they have no consistency, no momentum, no continuity this year… they’re still last 4 standing on talent alone… it’s not going to help the cause but it is actually a highlight of the truth… without this unreal roster they don’t belong
@SamOlbur Absolutely. think about how much better Cle, MIL, Tampa would have been for the last 10 years. They clearly have better staffs. If the players stand their ground in this it shows the all stars control the union and don’t care about the lowest level guys or the good of the game.
@PrimeFuller69 CLE fans deserve to kick us Sox fans in the mouth. We talked shit after going up 2-0. we had to… that was a position deserving. But I’ll be the first to say Cleveland is baseball, just as much as Milwaukee. They’re always good, Jose is him, and seeing them beat Tampa was awesome
@jacobinfante24 In a messed up way the Bears getting pummeled by the packers made the Sox loss easier lol, I dk why but the Sox created these expectations outta nowhere, but the bears embarrassed themselves in a way that’s indefensible. Packers were dead and we catapulted them back to contention
@SamOlbur Take it, guy is not a middle lineup producer, has decent numbers but if he ain’t on the cubs he’s like the guys on the Rockies and pirates and marlins who have decent years… just meh overall
@_mattywood_ You’re extremely tone deaf. They’re all billionaires.. but even at the level there’s billionaires and there’s hundred billionaires. Baseball is ridiculous because of this year obviously, all these low level payroll teams… dodgers still there, again. One team has to play perfect
@busterchicago Umm that’s the owner and next past owner… this doesn’t even make sense… also Sox could have all the money, skubal isn’t coming and we shouldn’t even try. Better yet, they won’t so let’s not even pretend.
@TheChicagoPope Hagen and Taylor are likely starters. Arraez just to DH? No chance. They pair a lefty killer with Beni like Grichuk again… and Bonemer will compete but not for CF … peters is good and Bonemer likely takes Colsons job and moving vargas to first and mune to DH
@TheChicagoPope It’s not that I don’t like Arraez, but where does he play? The entire lineup doesn’t need to change. Teel, Mune, Chase, Colson, Vargas, Sam, Peters, Braden…. Bonemer is ready to come up, and hopefully roch will be this year… I don’t get it… what am I not seeing?
@TheChicagoPope Why would you DFA Kay… he pitched a bunch in the playoffs and was solid as hell… in case we need back end help… Beni too… he did his job, unless you got a better DH, especially opening day, he stays, Castillo probably gets a chance too, I don’t like that but that’s how it is
@TheChicagoPope Your high. They should sign RP. Taylor and Hagan are going to be starters, pending trial…Plus Burke and Martin… then you got Schultz and Kay and Thorpe… the Sox aren’t signing SP… Castillo also still under contract… I love the Sox man, but they aren’t doing that shit lol
@isureppin12 DH shouldn’t be a top thought. Running Beni again will be fine. The Grichuk Beni combo was awesome statistically, as a combo. Beni is under contract and gonna be hard to trade. Expect him back. The only move they need to do with the lineup is, another catcher. Is Doyle back?
@KenWo4LiFe Newcomb has to be back. Hagan and Grant are both moving to the starting lineup… is hicks under contract? He lined up as our closer next year
@ok___cool@SleeperWhiteSox Yea just doubling down. Martin had the third highest WAR of our pitchers. 9-8 with a 7.5 k to walk. He doesn’t blow. If you suspect regression, well let’s make the plan for him to be our 4th or 5th. They need bullpen arms to replace Grant and Hagan …spend there
@ok___cool@SleeperWhiteSox Martin had a 3.95 ERA. Kay was above average (see WAR) and was trusted to pitch a bunch in the playoffs, ultimately performed well. Burke, Martin, Kay, Hagan Smith, Grant Taylor, Noah Schultz, and even Tanner McDougal, Luis Castillo still contracted. They’re not signing FA SPs.
@m1tch37@savemeishbia Cleveland’s young too . They also don’t have a high payroll but they have the best player in Jose, who’s a guy alongside players who have at least done it to some degree. The problem as you say, to me, is undefined. Run back this lineup. Taylor and Hagan as starters, a lot to see
@ChiSoxFanMike Sox pitched to the best they could. I get that Cleveland score 9 in games 3 and 4 but it was blowup innings … Cleveland is awesome and the national media forgot. Maybe is Sox fans did too. We ran out of gas and Jose Ramirez said I’m back. CLE is better… for now
@ChiSoxFanMike They’re both rookies … you can’t call either of them huge strikeout guys overall. Of course they were but you gotta run them back …. I hope it’s not their identity but let’s stop acting like we have options better than play them until Bonemer and Roch are ready
