@CurtMWeiler @TailgateEast12 It is rubbish. VAR is a protocol and not a law. For protocol mistakes only the officials are punished.

And to humor you: would it be a mistake by var then the redcard would be withdrawn, not suspended

@cmclymer @Lesmitch529 No it didnt. Not the same way. CR7 did have the automatic 1 game ban. The additional 2 games were later turned into suspended sentence. That is possible under the law. Suspending the automotic 1 game ban isn't

@RyanGOATehill @piersmorgan No they dont. They say what I say. Elbowing usually ends up in 3 game ban (or more) : 1 automatic and 2 disciplinary committee add ons. Those last 2 can be appealed and suspended. CR7 did sit out his automatic 1 game ban.

Was it right to suspend those extra 2? Irrelevant.

@jltho @Mike556553251 And law 27 applies applies only to the extra pumnishment handed out by the disciplinairy committee above the automatic red card 1 game ban. Those can be appealed and suspended, not the automatic 1 game ban.

@jltho @Mike556553251 When you really dont understand the rules. The VAR applied the protocol when judging the foul. Where they might have missed something is when presenting the images to the ref, but since it is part of protocol and not of game laws has only consequences for the officials.

The disciplinary committee gave him 2 additional games, those where later suspended.

@Brittbabi @p1huycke Unfortunately, misrepresent article 27 . Article 27 is only about additional punishment by the disciplinary committee, automatic 1 game ban is not part of that.

CR7 : 1 automatic game ban + 2 from committee. Those 2 were suspended later, not the automatic 1 game ban.

The var protocol being violated is an assumption. And never led to reversing a punishment anyhow.
