It's looking increasingly likely that the "weapons trafficking" charges here are yet another instance of an older person who didn't realize that Trudeau changed the law to require phone-ins for transfers for non-restricted firearms.
Trudeau's changes did not improve public safety at all, but created a trap for many people who had become familiar with the law and didn't realize that there was a change that imperils them. So they transfer guns the same way was legal for decades, and don't realize that now it's against the law. And because Trudeau's legal changes didn't include any sort of "intermediate offence" to catch this, it treats it the same as knowingly selling to drug dealers.

WATCH:
Footage from an incident involving Kate Tracey, the Canadian living in America who allegedly accosted then assaulted teenagers at Point Pleasant Beach over Independence Day weekend.
According to a sworn statement, the altercation was triggered by Tracey’s reaction to the teenagers’ pro-Trump, pro-ICE clothing.
Tracey was charged with simple assault, endangering the welfare of a child, harassment and obstruction.
The Department of Homeland Security says Tracey overstayed her visa, which expired in 2024. Tracey is currently being held in an ICE detention centre.
In Canada, some adults have come to view violence or intimidation against young people as morally justified when the targets are perceived as “fascist.”
Publicly-funded “watchdog” organizations like the Canadian Anti-Hate Network (Canada’s SPLC offshoot) contribute to legitimizing that mindset by portraying certain ideological opponents as beyond the bounds of acceptable discourse.
Violence by Antifa-aligned individuals frequently goes unaddressed, even when directed at minors. Of the people featured in the montage below, only one was arrested for conduct involving minors— and that case was ultimately resolved with a peace bond.
Legacy media strenuously avoids reporting on unlawful Antifa tactics overall.
Increasingly, Canada is exporting its own brand of hatred and polarization abroad.

Business interests in P.E.I. lament immigration cuts and claim it is hard to find workers. One company says it has "increased wages and offered bonuses".
This is why Canadian unions always used to fight mass immigration. Labour shortages are good for workers.
Reporter to Mark Carney:
“So with the rise of drones and underwater unmanned vessels, are you concerned that a fleet of submarines that won’t start arriving for another eight years — relative to the amount of money Canadians will spend to purchase them?”
Simple question and as usual Carney answers with word salad 🥗 and why is Mark Carney sitting down with Zelenskyy tomorrow to push for closer defense ties between Canada and Ukraine. Why is this even on the agenda right now? And why should Canadian taxpayers be on the hook for it?
Rain or shine, B.C.’s liquor laws are the same: there is no open liquor allowed outside of licenced areas and establishments. If your celebrations include alcohol, there are many venues that would be happy to serve you.
Don’t let a $230 fine ruin your night.

Canadians should ask a simple question:
Why do governments always seem to find solutions for well-connected developers, bankers, and corporate insiders, while ordinary families struggle with housing costs and job losses?
From SNC-Lavalin to today's housing policies, the perception remains the same: one set of rules for elites and another for everyone else.
Public policy should serve taxpayers first not those with the best access to power.
"Developers are stuck. They don't want sell at a loss." - @MarkJCarney
Developers have options:
▪️Keep empty
▪️Convert to rental
▪️Lower prices
And so what if they sell at a loss? That's the game.
Why should Canadian taxpayers bail out homebuilders?
So if you are a family that can’t afford your mortgage because of a job loss, you are forced to sell at the current market price
But if you are a developer that built product that no one wanted, you get a taxpayer funded bailout
The stupidity is amazing 🤦♂️
Here is what should happen: the developers of these unwanted condos lower the price to what people are willing to pay.
The purchasers now have an affordable home, or a place they rent for cheap.
The developers lose money, sending the market signal that you shouldn't build that type of housing unless you can do it much cheaper.
The developers lose money. They might even go bankrupt. That sucks, but that is business.
Future developments are more suited to what people want and are willing to pay.
The taxpayer doesn't pay for any of it.
This is what the market is good at, and the government absolutely sucks at. Let the market do its job.
Mark Carney basically announcing a bail out for Vancouver and area developers;
Too many completed condos sitting empty. Metro Vancouver alone around 2,500 finished units are standing vacant with no buyers.
They don't want to sell at a loss, they can't afford to hold those empty units indefinitely.
We will convert vacant condos into affordable housing. We're going to go use the right financing mechanisms, convert those into affordable housing so people can move in and use that."
Greed and horrible municipal planning has led to building overpriced shitboxes that no one wants.
Now Carney will reward that with taxpayer dollars instead of letting the market solve itself by bringing the prices down.
Absurd intervention.
I thought he was an economist??
PRESIDENT TRUMP: "In 2024, almost 50% of inmates in German prisons were foreign migrants.. In Switzerland, it’s 72%.. When your prisons are filled with so-called asylum-seekers who repaid kindness with crime, it's time to END the failed Open Borders."
Ambassador Hoekstra repeats his own personal irritation with Canadians in his interview with Elie
"When we watch the opening of the World cup in Toronto, and Canadians boo the American flag. Really?"
"85% of your trade from the US and across the border still comes across the border tariff free."
"...With that kind of a record, you're going to boo the flag that for 37 years has provided the backstop to Canadian security and safety." @USAmbCanada
Tim Hortons says it's putting Canadians first — but is it really?
With Tim Hortons saying it vows to hire more “local” staff, Rebel News investigated a Montreal location that was listed on a government job portal for businesses seeking to hire temporary foreign workers.
Tim Hortons recently announced plans to hire up to 10,000 local employees and reduce its reliance on the Temporary Foreign Worker Program. However, a closer look at publicly available government data raises questions about whether that shift is already taking place.
Several Tim Hortons locations continue to appear on the federal government's temporary foreign worker job portal, actively advertising positions for foreign workers.
This comes at a time when Canada's unemployment rate has climbed to 6.9%, while youth unemployment is hovering around 14%.
The issue raises broader questions about priorities in the Canadian labour market. With more Canadians struggling to find work and economic uncertainty looming, some are asking whether available jobs should be offered to Canadian workers first.
During a visit to a Tim Hortons location in downtown Montreal, multiple job openings were found being advertised, including positions offering wages of up to $39 per hour.
Another detail that stood out was that some of the postings appeared to be open to applicants who speak only English, rather than requiring French or bilingualism. That has sparked questions about language requirements in Quebec, where French is the official language.
The situation comes as Tim Hortons faces growing scrutiny over its use of temporary foreign workers and its role in providing entry-level employment opportunities.
For many Canadians, particularly young people, jobs at restaurants and coffee shops often serve as a first step into the workforce, providing valuable experience and skills.
As debates continue over immigration levels, Canadians are left to decide whether Tim Hortons is living up to its promise of putting local workers first.
