I think all charts should be flagged on days with sub-par staffing ratios. Or flagged with the current staff-patient ratio at the time seen.

Then those charts can easily be reviewed en-masse for bad outcomes and poor satisfaction scores and prolonged dwell-times.

called my parents yesterday extremely concerned about the hurricane & asked them to take the cats & go up north for the weekend. they assured me they were fine and that no matter what they’d take care of my cats. I got this txt today(yes that’s hose water and no im not amused😂)

You really can’t compare different nurse specialties. My 1 critical patient may be busier than having 8 on another floor. A med surg pt can become as sick as an ICU pt yet the nurse has 7 others to also take care of. Mother baby has both mom & baby as pts. Let’s stop comparing😭
