Long-term care homes across Canada are facing significant staffing shortages.
CALTC advocates for a national recruitment and retention strategy that builds a permanent, stable workforce for long-term care homes across Canada.

✅ Answer: Canada will need 382,000–454,000 LTC beds by 2035 - nearly double current capacity.
CALTC is urging the federal government to recognize LTC home development as a national housing and infrastructure priority.

@JimStoppani Hey Jim, I use PreJym+ and PostJym on Strengthtraining days along with ProJym(everyday). Should I be taking PreJym/PostJYm on cardio days as well?
Last night the @DHCHFoundation raised $1.78m for the Delta Hospital, blowing every previous year out of the water. Congratulations!

The seniors’ care crisis didn’t come out of nowhere — we were warned.
My op-ed in the Vancouver Sun calls for urgent action to expand LTC, support families & relieve our hospitals. https://t.co/0BPdwPA2XQ via @VancouverSun
We also haven’t invested enough into seniors care, specifically long term care spaces and home care hours which would help and are much more economical than acute care spaces. Every day we wait to start building additional care spaces means we are further and further behind the 8 ball.
Congrats to Mary Polak, the new CEO of B.C. Care Providers. Having worked closely with each of the previous CEO’s of the industry association, it is a very important job. I look forward to Mary supporting the seniors care and housing sector to improve quality and capacity. My thanks to Terry Lake for giving everything he had while supporting us all.
