@mattgurney Someone having a obvious mental illness and someone having a mental health crisis are two different things. If you’re going to publish something it’s important you not decide when someone is in crisis just because the way their illness presents makes you uncomfortable.
I’m pleased to share that my friend and collaborator, Dr. Srividya Iyer, Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Researcher at the Douglas Research Centre, has been awarded a Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Youth Mental Health and Learning Health Systems. Congratulations!

This is simply the best communication I have seen from an expert in a highly hostile media context. Phenomenal. Full of heart, compassion, and a drive to impart FACTS. Well done, @ian_hickie - I bow before you.

TEACHING STUDENTS ABOUT DIVERSE FAMILIES AND QUEER PEOPLE IS NOT GROOMING.
The far right is lying to you. They are spinning a false narrative about what is happening in our schools.
No one is trying to convert anyone, but queer kids are still being bullied in our schools.
