😬 When I was an agency director I DEFINITELY would have excluded somebody who had previously worked in senior leadership with a bidder from the procurement team.
What a bad practice to let him help select the vendor (but par for the course for the @DougDucey administration).
A thread: Every single one of these heart-wrenching stories is preventable. We don't have to live like this.
Senate Republicans, when will it be enough?

We re-assembled the misleading, vague, contradictory and outright unsettling comments by Texas officials since Tuesday. The Department of Justice must take over this investigation if it wants to assure credibility and integrity to the victims' families.
@TheAngryEpi My family switched from British Airways to @AirCanada because they still require masks and everyone wore it the entire flight. It was the only way we would fly. They got our business!
If AG/Senate candidate Mark Brnovich doesn't want to defend Arizona's early voting program, he should resign. The state's need for an AG outweighs his need to curry favor with the far right. https://t.co/TlqJi72XdO via @azcentral
As Americans demand that Mitch McConnell and Senate Republicans protect kids from gun violence, he tries to change the topic to inflation.

reporters really shouldnt be afraid to reply “thats the dumbest fucking thing ive ever heard” to a republican who says doors are causing school shootings

If police are afraid of running into an active shooter situation with an AR-15 wielding gunman firing, they should be at the forefront of demanding assault weapons being taken off the streets.

It’s worth repeating. A mom drove there. Got handcuffed. Got out of handcuffs. Hopped a fence. Went inside the school and walked out with her two kids. All while 19 officers waited outside the classroom where the gunman was. #UvaldePolice#Uvalde
