During the International Spinal Cord Society (ISCoS) Annual Scientific Meeting held in Antwerp, Belgium in September Dr @CarlotteK in her lecture on 'Empowering Lives of People with SCI: Unlocking the Transformative Potential of the World Health Assembly's Resolution on Rehabilitation', said:
🗣 "The hardest part is to implement it and apply the evidence in our daily practice. And that's about human beings, about changing behaviour... So this is a call for action to all of us".
Dr @DeeGoody79 and @alyselennox delivered an engaging workshop on introducing behaviour change to improve outcomes for people living with a spinal cord injury.
Their session was attended by clinicians, nurses, allied health professionals, researchers and peers.
🗣 "Great to connect with so many people who are as passionate as we are about improving outcomes for people living with spinal cord injury", they said. "We received great feedback about the session and hope it has sparked some thinking on how behavioural science could help to create change.

What was the last book you read for pleasure? People who read regularly report higher self-esteem, are less lonely, and are 58% more likely to empathise with others. Physiologically, reading slows the heart rate, reduces stress and can even extend our lives.
New research by @australiareads and @BehaviourWorksA looks to understand the motivations and barriers around reading for pleasure – and how we can get more Australians reading.
