Every time I look through the images from that amazing sunrise this week, I find views that I like better than the ones I've shared. With the sky on absolute fire above the silhouette of #Pittsburgh, this panoramic view is one of the most dramatic from that incredible morning.
In looking through my fall images last week, I found a ton from my trip to West Virginia that I never shared, including this one from Dolly Sods. The range of colors was amazing: the red blueberry bushes, the bright green windblown trees, and a perfect blue sky. Ah, to be back...
Monument Valley wasn't my only stop a year ago today: I also visited the place that no photo can EVER do justice, the Grand Canyon. Awe-inspiring doesn't even cut it. The way the sun was cutting through the clouds, creating patterns of light on the rock was amazing.
While I've shot snowy sunrises from the incline in #Pittsburgh many times, I've never been able to top the one that I captured 5 years ago today. A vibrant sunrise provided the backdrop for the city and icy rivers, with the red car popping against the fresh snow. What a morning.
Long exposures and fast moving clouds always make for the perfect combination. In this one minute exposure of an incredible sunrise over a silhouetted #Pittsburgh, the various layers of clouds all have different colors, as the dark of night gives way to a beautiful new day.
The sunrise exactly one year ago today in #Pittsburgh was pretty much the complete opposite of this morning. It was one of the craziest, most vibrant, completely fake looking sunrises I've ever seen. I remember my mouth just dropping as I watched it unfold from the West End.
Even thought I captured Sheffield Street in the Manchester neighborhood of #Pittsburgh earlier in the week, as the days went on, the color got even better. Add in some late morning sunlight and my goodness...what a view.
Spent the morning capturing some fall colors around #Pittsburgh, and I have tons to share. Inclines, trains, reflections...lots of good stuff. But we'll start with something simple: a red leaf laying on a bed of fallen gingkoes. Doesn't get much better when it comes to contrast.
I was so busy posting images of the full moon over #Pittsburgh yesterday, I didn't even talk about that incredible sunrise. The view from under the West End Bridge was, for lack of a better word, insane. The way the sun lit up the fog made it look like the whole scene was on fire
