- wrote & published my second first-author manuscript
- wrote a thesis
- defended my dissertation
- added some letters to the end of my name (Officially: Alyssa N. King, Ph.D.)

NONE of the @LMPD officers who murdered Breonna Taylor on March 13th have been fired or charged any crimes. They are all being paid as usual.

Today, we will observe #ShutDownSTEM to bring awareness to the racial injustices within STEM/academic communities. We will take this time to listen, learn and reflect on our role in creating #racialequity and eradicating racism.
As our community engages in #ShutDownSTEM, SEA Change will be centering and amplifying the voices and experiences of Black scientists; past, present, and future. Share with us the Black scientists you’d like to spotlight #BlackLivesMatter
A big announcement for #WISEcrushWednesday! @kss_76 recently defended her #PhD titled “Characterization of Sox11 Partner Proteins and Interaction Domains in Xenopus Neurogenesis”. We can't wait to see this rising star continue to achieve great things in her postdoc and beyond!🌟
