I wish UMG didn’t gate keep Taylor’s merch so much bc I love how Olivia’s has merch at record stores, hot topic, and target like how Taylor used to have merch collections everywhere when I was a kid.
idk I think this song is actually corny and unpleasant on the ear but it matters less when she was just a pop star and when people weren’t trying to pass her off as a Master of American Arts and Letters
MY OPINION:
Taylor is under so much pressure that she can’t fully write honestly or make herself artistically vulnerable while married to another man.
She can’t risk looking like a married woman who still misses someone else. That inevitably limits her creativity 🙃
About a year ago, you guys did a truly unfathomable thing. Something that completely blew my mind… You gave The Life of a Showgirl the biggest first week for an album in history. I took a trip to Sweden to celebrate with Max and Shellback, my two collaborators on this album. Really we just wanted to reflect and take in how grateful we were for the moment we were in, but there was a studio there and we did what we do when we feel anything at all: We wrote more songs. I hope you love them, because they were born out of pure gratitude for your exuberance for and celebration of the album we made. The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore including four new songs is out on Friday and available to pre-order and save now at https://t.co/bWaNOQ6OmT ❤️🔥

Happy 45th birthday to the legendary Beyoncé.
Making her debut in 1990 with Destiny's Child, she has built a lasting legacy by raising the bar and breaking barriers with each new era. Known as a vocal powerhouse she has headlined 7 tours grossing at least $100 million, the most out of any female artist in history. Her impact on music and pop culture is undeniable, she is credited for changing the Global Release Day to Friday and transforming the production, distribution, promotion, and consumption of music. She is also credited for popularizing surprise drops and visual albums. Billboard has named her the Greatest Pop Star of the 21st century and she has won 38 Grammys throughout her career — the most for any artist ever, male or female.
