The more you study the religion, the more you realize how much of what we call "mental health advice" is just repackaged Islam. Therapy tells you to let go of what you can't control. That's tawakkul. Journal for clarity. That's muraqabah. Daily affirmations. That's dhikr. Gratitude practice. That's saying alhamdulillah. The framework was already there. The world just forgot to look at it.
Our grandmothers didn’t talk about nervous system regulation. They lived it. Sewing, baking slowly, folding by hand. Repetition, quiet focus, hands busy, body safe. Calm was handmade.

i think one of the healthiest things i've ever learned is that you should allow others to reintroduce themselves to you, even your closest friends. Give people space to become who they are without assuming you know who they are just because you've been friends/family for years.
