Speaking to @JP_Biz about the Windsor Framework, frustration in the logistics industry at the delay in getting information & reiterated our calls on the government to urgently publish specific guidance for hauliers given their unique & complex role in GB-NI trade.@LogisticsUKNews
Extra busy week for 1 of our members @am_hards who went to Westminster & gave evidence to a House of Lords Committee on the Windsor Framework highlighting the positive changes & easements for trusted traders but the need for more work & clarity for groupage operators. #logistics
**UKRAINE APPEAL**
Calling out for any donations of foodstuffs, clothing, bedding, hygienic products, nappies etc. We are using our premises in Larne as a drop off point. These goods will then be taken out to Poland and Hungary to help the displaced people from Ukraine. All FOC.
Speaking to @CommonsNIAC this morning, @am_hards said that supply chains serving Northern Ireland had changed as a consequence of the Northern Ireland Protocol.

A gift from a happy customer. Bringing in SPS goods, in this case dogfood, from GB to NI has been challenging! But it makes the stress and pain worthwhile when this greets you in the office! Thanks to @daera_ni for your assistance. Now chocolate for breakfast!
Quick chat with @JonnyDymond for @BBCWorldatOne about the extension of the grace periods. A bold move but one that many retailers, parcel carriers and supply chains will relish.
Great to hear our local member @am_hards from AMNexday talking to @BBCWorldatOne today about the unilateral decision to extend grace periods and what it means for moving goods ex GB to NI. Interview starts at 07.20 https://t.co/S0B0cOtu2h
@Simon4NDorset has been advocate for NI businesses. When myself and other colleagues who are involved in the day to day NI freight movements, Simon was all ears to our issues and our solutions. These were passed directly to @michaelgove Solution driven not fear driven!
Wrong! Mine is not a dismissal of “flaws” it’s a willingness to sort out said flaws. I see no merit in creating a blackhole as business continues to learn, adapt and deliver
This is what we need, alternatives, creative thinking!! Not 'scrap the lot', that will not get us anywhere. Let's concentrate on what we can do not what we can't!
A good morning spent discussing how Brexit has affected the logistics industry, retail and supply chain and how to move forward. Flexibility and solutions are the answer!

@clivewarwick @Simon4NDorset During this meeting we gave recommendations on how to make the protocol work for hauliers and traders alike. These have been passed on to the politicians to put forward on our behalf. Hopefully we will be heard and make a difference. 👍🏼
@pmdfoster Here here! I'm hoping @MarosSefcovic and @michaelgove can take what industry has to say on board during these negotiations. Let's create trade not diminish it.
@pmdfoster thanks for your comments! It was a pleasure to speak with the NIAC and also good to be heard on a platform where maybe someone will listen not to our complaints but our solutions!
