9 years, 8 months & 6 days ago I sent out this mail. We've just launched our 10th cohort & @KamiLimu celebrates its 10th anniversary this year.
I'm glad I didn't quit the many times I almost did. Now proud to say the org has outgrown me & its vision scaling across multiple hands.

βIf I could be any fictional character, Iβd be Marinette from Miraculous Ladybugβbut in a techy new world I call Nafasi.
For Nafasi, the sky is made of memory literally. Billions of glowing, color-changing crystals float above us, each holding someoneβs personal data. Everyone owns their own crystal, and data hoarding? Totally cancelled. My Lucky Charm? It would be like a magic highlighter for data showing exactly where your info goes, whoβs using it, and why. Youβd see beautiful glowing patterns in the air, like digital fireworks that make privacy actually visible.
In Nafasi, our digital selves are part of who we areβnot just stuff to be bought or sold. And just like Marinette, Iβd fight to protect them with style, smarts, and maybe a sidekick or two.β
OurΒ #menteeofthedayΒ today is Gwendolyn Wilkista currently pursuing https://t.co/U8z0K3pgHw Mathematics and Computer Science at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. At KamiLimu, she is specializing in Cloud Engineering.
Tackled a Bash piping exercise:
ps aux | grep 'bash' | wc -l
I used Napkin AI to help visualize the process. It broke down each command and illustrated how the data moves from one stage to the next, making it easier to see the pipelineβs flow.

I took the Learning Style Quiz found out Iβm a Visual-INFJ learnerβ¨
That means I learn best through images, and structured visuals⦠paired with my INFJ tendency to reflect deeply, organize meaning, and quietly connect ideas.

The temptation to ask AI everything is real!!
But if you're just starting out, mute AI.
Try first
Break things
Google
Then bring AI in, not to replace your learning, but to deepen it.
