I'm an outright #Akshaykumar fan & I have no qualms in acknowledging the fact that #Mohanlal is the biggest superstar of the indian cinema considering the output he's generating with a small population of 3.5 crs & 500 screens in Kerala. #Drishyam3 is his 3rd 200cr WW grosser🤯
#Drishyam3 continues its PHENOMENAL blockbuster run at the box office, crossing a massive ₹175 crore worldwide gross and all set to cross the ₹200 crore mark in the coming days.
The film has once again proved the unmatched strength of the franchise, with audiences turning up in huge numbers and positive word of mouth driving the sensational trend everywhere.
Another MONSTROUS BLOCKBUSTER for #Mohanlal… and with this, his 3rd ₹200 crore plus worldwide grosser is now locked, the HIGHEST by any Mollywood actor by a huge margin. Absolute dominance at the box office continues for the GOAT! @Mohanlal 🙏
Despite of knowing the story and being watched it multiple time. The rewatch value of this movie is immense. Every time I sit with awe of each and every performance and the tight storyline. Goated OG for a reason!!
#Drishyam@Mohanlal
The ₹10Cr+ worldwide pre sales club in Malayalam cinema remains extremely exclusive
And now, #Drishyam3 enters that space with seven days still to go 👏
Across every film in this league, one name appears consistently: “MOHANLAL” 👑🔥
Longevity. Consistency. Stardom.
Some records speak for themselves

*Few Thudarum Spoilers ahead*
The wait has been for over 8 years now. The wait to see Mohanlal the powerhouse performer explode on screen like he used to do in 80s, 90s, 2000s and up until 2017.
In 2019 in Lucifer, when Mayilvahanam slaps Stephen Nedumpally, you saw sparks of that genius. All his angst appeared in his eyes for few seconds. But Stephen wouldnt emote a lot. He wouldnt give out anything. He was on screen for only a limited time. Your want to see the out and out performer in Mohanlal had to wait.
In 2021 in Drishyam 2, when a boy runs into Georgekutty's house and asks him whether he buried the body in the police station, Mohanlal brings out the "shock" with utmost perfection. There was glances of that great old Mohanlal. But it still wasnt entirely enough.
In 2023 in Neru, when his opposition lawyer states a rape victim cannot behave this way, Vijayamohan explodes for a minute. His dialogue delivery had that old great intensity. It was clapworthy. You saw shades of that old genius. But you still wanted more.
In between, Odiyan happened, Arattu happened. Alone happened. Marakkar happened. Monster happened. Lijo Jose Pallissery tried and failed. And you started wondering you may see Mohanlal the star in his glory again, but may be not Mohanlal the actor.
Tharun Moorthy's making of Thudarum is based on this understanding that we had been wanting more of Mohanlal the actor. Tharun didnt want to settle with glances or shades. Most of the time in the film, he keeps the camera rolling and let Mohanlal do his thing at his leisure. The fact that Thudarum is 2 hours 46 minutes shows Tharun is in no hurry.
When Shanmugam drives through the forrest clueless of where it is leading him, it is a treat to see Mohanlal at his vulnerable best. Shanmughan is confused. He is helpless. And who better than Mohanlal to portray these emotions best. When Shanmugham locks himself in the bathroom and vents out his emotions, I thought the scene would be cut short. But it is amazing how Tharun lets Mohanlal do his work neatly to completion. The shot where he slips and falls down in the bathroom under the shower is how an actor and director can together do wonders.
By the last one hour, we have warmed up so much to Shanmugham that in a scene even when only his shadow appears on the wall, the theater halls couldnt stop clapping. After a long time, you laughed when Mohanlal smiled. You teared up when he cried. You cheered when he beat the hell out of the bad guys. You were literally back to those good old times.
Thudarum is now all set to become another all time blockbuster in Mohanlal's glorius filmography. Thudarum is another proof that a neat script with Mohanlal would never cease to make wonders at boxoffice.
Dear Mohanlal- dont let this moment fade out. Dont let this success slip away. Dont stop filmmakers like Tharun Moorthy reaching at you again like this.
Dont forget the fact that Kerala hasnt loved another film actor like they have loved you.
@VRFridayMatinee 10 മണിക്ക് ഉള്ള shows ഒക്കെ second show അല്ലേ😅?
