As we head into 2026, I’m excited to share my 2025 editorial on activist love as a feminist praxis and utopian method for grassroots organizing. I've love to hear your thoughts! Read the piece here: https://t.co/FlNXMF79ty

Greedy #developers in Toronto are invading poor communities and displacing their residents so @230Fightback is taking the fight to their plush headquarters.
Me after coding 4.5 months of activist meeting minutes, 40+ pages of fieldnotes, and several visual archival materials that now need to become the last section of a chapter I've been working on since January.
Both of my co-supervisors moved to different universities at different points in my PhD and I get that this stuff happens but it's been so, so hard to navigate and carry and I wish there was someone I could have talked to about it.
🎉 What an amazing night! Thanks to everyone who came out to support this great campaign launch. So grateful for our volunteers and donors. I’m so excited for what’s to come and we’ve only just begun!

Huge BDS win.
Giller Prize is no longer partnered with Indigo Books, Azrieli Foundation & Scotiabank - all invested in genocide.
In 2023, comrades were arrested protesting Giller. Then, thousands of writers & book workers refused participation.

Has anyone written about activist meeting minutes as ethnographic data & archive? It's fascinating revisiting my fieldnotes in conversation with meeting minutes – what these two complementary methods of data collection make possible for ethnographic theory.
I've been wanting to write chapters 5 & 6 of my dissertation (a feminist treatise) for three years but I need to get through chapters 3 & 4 first. My interviews w/ women activists are some of the most powerful & memorable parts of the fieldwork. I do this work for them.
I'm transcribing portions of some of my interviews from 2023 (just the parts I need for this chapter) and I'm struck both by the range of emotion organizers carry in their daily lives, but also by how often there is laughter – b/w interviewer (me) & interviewee – across convos.
I asked Deanna Stellato-Dudek what impact she hopes her journey has for women.
She was impassioned and eloquent as ever in her response. Deanna told me she hopes all women of all ages feel valued.
“They can do whatever they way. I encourage every woman to go after their dreams”

This piece, along with some of my other activist-anthropological work, is now available @LeadingChangeNt's resource centre. I hope this work can be useful in meetings, discussion groups, and trainings – please don't hesitate to reach out! https://t.co/ih6vmCvo9Y

Extremely based.
All municipal progressives should be considering something like this.
Bad landlords get away with way too much time to put it out in the open.
Being in a dissertation writing seminar is basically just me being amazed every two weeks that I get to read the early drafts of the next generation of critical social science scholarship. My colleagues are doing such phenomenal work!
I’ve had Chapter Four of my dissertation in my head in some form or another since 2023 but I know I can’t write it properly until I get through Chapter Three. Praying this is the month I make it through this threshold.
