A tough start for Ashcraft tonight but you have to give him credit for settling down and getting through 6 innings. And then the Pirates offense just continuing to rake. It’s not full proof but scoring 11 runs will get a lot of wins.

This bullpen needs to be thrown in the trash. I’d rather pull up arms from AAA and see what they can do. Can’t be any worse than what we have now. Back to back games of blowing the game is completely unacceptable.

I think even worse than the bullpen right now is the lack of depth on the left side of the infield. We have watch Triolo stink it up, Gonzales hit sometimes but not field well and the occasional random guy they throw over there. Awful.

What a horrible sequence by Ozuna. Loses a challenge and can’t run out a ball hit so deep into the hole that it took 2 hops for the throw to get to first. I’ve had enough.

A leadoff double by a guy who got carried off the field last night and you can’t move that runner around to just tie the game! Probably one of the worst series of the season and now looking at the World Series champs coming in to start a homestand.

@KDPomp I question the decision to let him come out in the 7th. I know the bullpen has been trash but that started the downfall with the 1st pitch from Montgomery going over the fence.

You have to feel for Shilovs after that insane effort tonight and bringing the Pens back to get to game 6. Secondary stars like Mantha and Chinakov were non factors all series and that doesn’t help you win. A very interesting offseason coming up.
