Next step: a PhD in Neuroscience at @Columbia
Hi #ScienceTwitter! I am trying to implement digital lab notebooks but there are a lot of options out there.
Not sure which the best one would be! Do you use digital lab notebooks in your lab? Which one do you recommend and why?
Normalize adding debates to conferences.
I want to see more scientists jumping at each other throats cause all methods and ideas in science are inherently flawed.

@LucasBellaiche@GregoryRSL@DukeBrain Starting the email with “this decision is not diagnostic” was the real kicker. It made the rest of the email so much more kind with every sentence. Congrats on a wonderful director! #WeNeedMoreGregorys
“Quizás no es el mismo brio, quizás no es misma la intensidad.
Pero ya pasé la mitad del camino y no pienso regresar
Con las manos vacías con lamentos, con un cuento sin culminar”

Glad someone said this!
I think as a trainee, I can attest to appreciating hard edits that help me improve in conveying the correct message.
However, sometimes I’m torn about feeling like my writing is simply not good and is not improving.

I am not sure. If I were a PI I would try to preserve my mentee’s writing as much as possible-light edits only. If substantial changes are needed, I leave a comment instead. This is their writing, and they should express their individuality, not mine.
