Houston coach Kelvin Sampson says forward J’Wan Roberts sent him a text on the bus or flight home from Arizona State.

“He told me thank you for helping make him a man. Told me he loved me and how blessed he was to be here,” Sampson said.

Sampson replied to him: “I’m the blessed one.”

Roberts has been at UH for six years and is winningest player in @UHCougarMBK history.
