@ThoseHand I mean, sure if you want. But do you describe the GST cut as a 35% reduction? Probably not. You probably say 2%, since what is most meaningful is what we are paying. You can be technically accurate and still unclear.

It’s depressing that when something as important as the capital gains tax is being debated many journalists keep reporting that the tax is moving from 50% to 66%. It’s wrong and misleading. Actual increase is more like 8%. Can we please try to be accurate as a starting point??
