Liverpool have spent £633.5m in just over a year & they don't have a midfield. Alexis Mac Allister is a fossil, Dominik Szoboszlai has to play next to him because they're shoehorning Florian Wirtz ahead of him at #10 because he cost £116m.

They spent £204m on Alexander Isak & Hugo Ekitike, who play the same position. They bought Victor Munoz for £35m, only to drop £123m on Bradley Barcola two months later, they play the same position too. And that isn't even mentioning how bad their full backs are.

I thought Manchester United used to have bad squad planning under Ed Woodward.. this is something else.

If you're a newly promoted team in the Premier League, just don't try to technically outplay anyone; you will drink goals like water. Kompany's Burnley and Southampton last season are two typical examples.

Build a physical squad that can be more direct, work hard, defend as a unit, and attack set-pieces really well. That's what Brentford did, and last season, Sunderland did too.

It doesn't take a lot of money to achieve, but you have to be intentional about going that route. It's proven to be very successful.

Convicted former Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP Bernard Antwi Boasiako has picked forms to contest as National Chairman of the NPP despite currently serving a 20 year sentence for illegal mining related offences.

Mind you, Article 3(5) of the NPP Constitution bars any person convicted and sentence for an offence carrying imprisonment of not less than 10 years from serving in any elected office in the Party.

Of all of the ridiculous deals this summer, this Savinho one I just can't get my head around. I just don't get it. City signed him for about £30m, he's done basically nothing in two years, scored 2 PL goals and he goes for way more than double the price.

A player is worth what a club is willing to pay, I've always said that. And he might be brilliant for Spurs and prove to be worth every penny in the long run under a manager like De Zerbi, whose excellent at getting the best out of players. But I just can't see how they have justified that price to themselves now and given it the green light.

It's absolutely insane money for an attacker with his output.
