@Alok_106 Low quality AI videos do weaken our attention and critical thinking
But a ban only treats the symptom.
Platforms reward volume over substance and most people have gotten used to consuming whatever is easiest.
Raising the standard of what we choose to watch matters more
Education should break inherited rankings NOT reprint them!!
A campus poster saying one group’s role is to “serve higher classes” is just hierarchy dressed up as wisdom.
Hierarchy still feels natural to people…
What a shame that education couldn’t make them wise.
Wow! Learn casteism from an IIT.
Shudras - serve higher classes. Who are Shudras and who are the higher classes?

Google Brain founder Andrew Ng:
"Prompting will be dead in 6 months"
"Loops and graphs are replacing it"
In just 2 hours, he shows how to build agents that work, learn, and improve on their own
LLMs → Agents → Loops → Graphs → Self-Improving Systems
The first 15 minutes alone are more valuable than most $500 AI courses
Most people are still learning prompts while AI engineering is already moving beyond them
Watch the lecture first
Then read the full guide to loops and graphs below ↓
Special thanks to Prof. Bharat Lohani for his guidance, Sourav & Manasvi (SimDaaS) for simulation help, and my friends Ayush Pratap Singh, Kaushal Kumar Jha & Ayushi Agrawal for constant support and discussions. Wouldn't have been possible without them!
Honoured to receive the MAY Award for Engineering Excellence from Prof. Manindra Agrawal (@agrawalmanindra), Director, IITK & Padma Shri, for my work on motion distortions in Mobile Laser Scanning.
The Institute celebrated and recognized the hard work and dedication of its students through a series of academic excellence awards, which were presented at the end of each academic year. These awards acknowledged students who had demonstrated exceptional performance in their studies throughout the previous year. The awards were divided into various categories, reflecting achievements in specific disciplines such as engineering, business, arts, sciences, and humanities, ensuring that excellence in each field was recognized.
Each award was named after notable individuals, including distinguished faculty members, alumni, or prominent figures within the department or institution, serving as a tribute to their legacy and contributions. These awards not only honored individual academic achievements but also inspired other students to pursue excellence. By celebrating accomplishments across diverse departments, the Institute encouraged students to continue excelling in both their academic endeavors and their broader contributions to the academic community.

Professor Bharat Lohani, from the Department of Civil Engineering, IIT Kanpur, in partnership with SimDaaS Autonomy Pvt. Ltd. and AV Agritech, has developed a groundbreaking LiDAR-based intelligent sprayer designed to revolutionize orchard farming. This innovation aims to minimize agrochemical wastage, enhance efficiency, and promote sustainable agricultural practices. Supported by the Department of Science and Technology (DST) under the IDEAS TiH, ISI Kolkata project, the technology represents a significant advancement in smart farming solutions.
The sprayer uses advanced LiDAR technology to scan trees, ensuring precise chemical application and optimizing resource use. It also features a GPS-enabled mobile app that provides real-time updates on sprayed areas, chemical consumption, and device performance, allowing farmers to remotely monitor and control operations. The system is user-friendly, with waterproof connectors and a plug-and-play setup, and addresses common farming challenges such as speed overruns and lane skipping with alert notifications. One key feature of the sprayer is its adaptability; it can be retrofitted into existing sprayers, making it an accessible and scalable solution for farmers.
Professor Bharat Lohani emphasized that this technology marks a paradigm shift in orchard farming by reducing agrochemical overuse while ensuring sustainability. The sprayer has undergone rigorous field trials and will be further tested in various orchards. Over the next three months, four devices will be deployed in different orchards for further refinement and testing.
With mass production expected soon, the price is anticipated to drop, making it widely available for farmers across India and globally. The technology is set for commercial launch in 4–5 months, marking a major milestone in precision agriculture. This development highlights IIT Kanpur’s commitment to sustainable farming and advanced technological integration, with a focus on reducing environmental impact and improving farming efficiency.

Today we're excited to introduce Devin, the first AI software engineer.
Devin is the new state-of-the-art on the SWE-Bench coding benchmark, has successfully passed practical engineering interviews from leading AI companies, and has even completed real jobs on Upwork.
Devin is an autonomous agent that solves engineering tasks through the use of its own shell, code editor, and web browser.
When evaluated on the SWE-Bench benchmark, which asks an AI to resolve GitHub issues found in real-world open-source projects, Devin correctly resolves 13.86% of the issues unassisted, far exceeding the previous state-of-the-art model performance of 1.96% unassisted and 4.80% assisted.
Check out what Devin can do in the thread below.

MeshGPT generates triangle meshes by autoregressively sampling from a transformer model that produces tokens from a learned geometric vocabulary.
As a result, we obtain clean and compact meshes :)
